Back-To-School Season is a Boom for Retailers

Back-to-school is projected to be an $85 billion dollar retail industry in 2025. That marks a 52% increase over the last 10 years, according to eMarketer . Although total retail sales may be down slightly for the 2nd consecutive year.

Shoppers will start earlier and actively look for the best deals. Most parents are planning to open up their wallets a little wider this year, according to MRI-Simmons  research.

Tariff concerns and retail promotions have 55% of parents looking to get their back-to-school shopping done in July this year.

It’s more than pencils and paper when it comes to preparing for the new school year. Parents will take their kids to dentists and eye doctors, get them haircuts and stock up on groceries for school lunches. Family vacations are also part of the summertime family equation!
